YOUTH PROGRAMS

Youth programs are an amazing way to involve the community in the aviation industry. Not only is there a wide variety of employment opportunities in aviation, but it provides many promising career paths. This is why involving people to the industry at a young age will only help them to become amazing aviation professionals in the future. 

Cadet Squadron 36 

Cadet Squadron 36 is a unit within the Civil Air Patrol, located at Reid-Hillview Airport. The unit is comprised of senior members who are above the age of 18 and cadets who are between 12 and 21 years old. Squadron 36 is responsible for three different types of civil air patrol missions including emergency services, aerospace education, and the cadet program. The ROTC program and the Air Force allow cadets in college to fly in CAP aircaft as well

Young Eagles

Young Eagles is a nonprofit organization that organizes free, introductory flights to children between the ages 8 and 17. As of now, they have provided over 2 million flights to children since 1992. Their goal is to teach young individuals about the aviation industry and inspire them to consider an aviation-related career.
