The SCU Lightning Complex Fire burning east of San Jose has swallowed more than 370,000 acres and destroyed 28 structures. Calfire Has Used Reid Hillview Airport as a temporary retardant refill base to combat these fires greatly reducing the travel time to and from the fire traffic area and onto the fires them selfs.
